I went to school on Tuesday to surprise Ali with the cupcakes but she already knew I was coming. -- Before going to school..... I had order on saturday, cupcakes that were really cute Hannah Montana in a butterfly pattern and they were purple. All of Ali's favorites. I said to have it ready by 9:30 AM tuesday. I showed at 10:15ish ( I have to be to school in 20 minutes) and they kept looking for it and surprise surprise. COULDNT FIND IT!!! IT WASNT EVEN DONE!!!! and the girl that was supposed to make it had alreay LEFT FOR HER LUNCH BREAK and wouldnt answer her phone. I kept getting asked if I was sure it was for Tuesday pick up. Yep. I was sure. She even found my order form. Lucky for me I guess there was an already done cupcake set that was the new Barbie Diamond already made and they only had to put ali's name on it. I was sooooooo ticked off. Im not sure if we will go there again for her actual birthday cake in fear of that not being done either. I guess if I do go there (you all know where im talking about) I will make sure the cake is ready for pick up a day before I need it. Just so frustrating I didnt get what I wanted.
Ali did like me coming up and her class was so fun. She had a great birthday.

Cant find long skirts
Every site I am looking at for kids clothing all has the short miniskirts or uniform skirt/skort that are short. Don't they realize there are some girls out there that are taller? I am now running into the problem i guess my mom had with me trying to find long pants. That was before they started to make jeans in Tall. I thought It would be nice for Alicia to get some new pants and skirts for school for her birthday tomorrow. All she has is the short uniform ones and I wanted to get her something that will cover her leggs more for school when it gets colder. I have checked many sites and they are are Short skirts if not MINI SHORT SKIRTS. And this is for LITTLE GIRLS!!!!!!! Guess I need to pull out the sewing maching and start making her skirts that are long enough for her. I would use her old jeans to make skirts like Jess taught us except they are getting small around the waist so they wont work. She needs new clothes and no one wants our business I guess. Its just so frustrating that all we have to look at are mini's. I don't want my girl in Mini skirts. I want long skirts. She wants long skirts. PLEASE start selling LONG SKIRTS for LITTLE GIRLS. Well I guess she's really not little anymore. She is 9. Just Tall like her mommy.
ARRRRRGGGGHHHH.. ok ranting done.

Ike update
We were not hit at all with Ike. I feel really bad for the people in Galveston and Houston areas. They got hit the hardest. Then news has been on from 5am this moring until noon just showing picture after picture. I had to go to the store and on my way I passed a HUGE convoy of emergency trucks and a mobil kitchen from HEB along with like 10 Semi's that are supposed to be full of supplies and water and food for anyone in the upper coast of texas and Louisiana that are effected from the storm.
I thought that was pretty cool. Then on my way home I was following another truck AT&T that looked like It had a portable power grid on the back of it. I think they are saying there is about 3 million people without power in the Houston area. It will take them a long time to get power to all.

Go AWAY IKE!!
Hurricane Ike was coming right for us but now they are forcasting it turning north and east of us so its coming for Houston now. We will still get some rain and wind but it shouldnt be as bad as if the storm was coming through Corpus Christi. My friend in Louisiana is still without power from the last hurricane. Im really glad for her that Ike shouldnt effect her at all. Hopefully they can get back home soon.
Love ya Cynthia. I hope you get home soon. Or you can come here too!!!!
