DM BIRTHDAY PARTY

We had DM's birthday party today at the same park we always do. It was really nice. He had 3 friends from church and 3 from school and a few siblings. They had lost of fun.






His cake got messed up thanks to his little brother AJ. I thought I would be good and get the cake early. Next time I dont think I will. AJ felt the need to dump it upside down and smooshed the figures into the cake . But cake is cake and still tasted good. If you can't tell it was Kung Fu Panda.



He got some pretty cool stuff too. These would be great at our new house. WE will have room to hit the ball in the back yard and they are all SOFT!!!! That's awesome.

It's listed, Happy birthday

Our current house is finally listed. Its been a long time. Lots of deadlines not met but we came close to my last one... almost. I hope I added the link right. Click on the title and you should see it. Lets hope it will rent out soon. Our TX home is coming along as well. I think all the flooring is supposed to be in this week.




I also want to say HAPPY 33rd BIRTHDAY to MERRI. I hope its a good one.

We Got IT!!!!!

The carpet is in. BUT... Im not happy with the padding - or should I say barely padding. You can feel EVERYTHING. Even going up the stairs to the bedroom if you have big feen and use all of the stair you can feel the tacks with your toes. They have to come back and fix it or they wont be paid. - But I REALLY do like the color and the way it looks. Just needs to meet up with the Fireplace, front tile, kitchen tile, bathroom tile etc . The carpet and padding dont come up EVEN with the tile. Before the carpet was way over the tile. ARRRRGGGGHHHHHH :(

I did call the carpet company and SURPRISE SURPRISE no call back yet. I left them a VM on what was wrong and havent heard back yet. I ALSO called my CC company that we paid with and they are sending us paper work we can fill out if we dont get the results we need. If they feel we are right they will try to reclaim their money from the carpet company.

Im now feeling its just one thing after anther until we leave. Whats next? BRING IT ON...

So frustrating

And the carpet saga continues..... We were supposed to have carpet installed in our whole house on Thursday. I waited and waited Wednesday for the call to confirm for the next day... Never got one... I called the company and asked if we were still on for Thursday. "I'm sorry you weren't called. I thought you had been." is what I got from a very nice guy. (He has really been working overtime for us and many others). He felt bad because I guess the truck that was carrying my carpet and was promised to be in town Wed. midnight for Thursday install had overturned somewhere in Kansas or Missouri. Now they had to RE-ORDER everything on the truck and cant install until Monday.

I mentioned to him how upset I was as we had our Rental manager coming on Saturday to take pictures to list our house. (had to cancel that now). He tried a few different things and actually found my same carpet and everything that there was a GOOD chance that it could be installed Friday afternoon. -my hopes were getting better now--. I called today to verify and THAT truck didn't come in as of 1120am. I had to leave to see AN's field day at school. I got back around 2:30 and checked in with Tom. (the guy helping me out) Well to no surprise at all the truck still isn't here. Its not looking like it will be in until closing so they cant get the carpet. If it does come and they can get the carpet they can come tomorrow. (don't hold your breath). If it doesnt come today the plant is closed on Saturday so they wouldn't be able to come again until MONDAY. He assured me he already had me scheduled for sure Monday with a crew and everything.

I just wish that if they tell you something that it will be done on a date they should do everything they can to make sure it is. And Tom really has tried. I don't know how many other orders where on that truck but he is doing the same for them. He thanked me for being so "understanding and calm" throughout the whole thing and I again expressed that I really wasn't but there's nothing I can do about it.

ARRRGGHHH.. OK I'm done venting. Thanks for reading. :)

MOM TEST

My friend sent this to me and I thought I had to post it here.

Mom Test

I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth.
I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that.

"Why?" my daughter asked.

"Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it's dirty, and probably has germs," I replied.

At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked,

"Momma, how do you know all this stuff, you are so smart."

I was thinking quickly.

"All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mom Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mom."

We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information.

"OH...I get it!" she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test you have to be the dad."

''Exactly," I replied back with a big smile on my face.

So long, Farewell....

A Sad farewell to our good friends Rachel and Jason. They left town today for WA. Jason got a great job there and has been there for a couple months now. They found their new home and decided not to wait until June and left today. We will miss you. Jason was our Home Teacher for a long time. Rachel is a good friend and makes awesome cards. You guys will me greatly missed.... But then we are moving too in a couple weeks so what am I talking about.....

MOMS DAY!!

"I just want to tell everyone I hope you have a great MOTHERS DAY!!!. For some its your first and others its been many days but still for everyone I hope it was a nice day for you.



I just want to let my mom know how much I appreciate her and what she has taught me about being a mother. I love it that I can still call her and ask her stupid questions about cooking or what ever. Im glad she is living with my sister in their awesome house. We love to visit there. I hope she stays here a lot longer to help us out and see her grand kids grow. I/we love you mom!



Lets not forget about NANA. We love her so much. I grateful she has the means to come see the kids frequently. The kids really enjoy her visits and are excited to be close to nana very soon. Thank you nana for all you do and the great pictures of our house.

Stimulus Check

So I was reading Tam's blog and happy she got her money. I have been checking my bank account everyday all month. A few TIMES a day. I saw today on our news about people upset not getting their checks direct deposit. Well...... It looks like I will be one of those people all be cause we filed using TURBO TAX and had our fee taken out automatically. Because we had TT fee taken out of our tax refund our stimulus check cant be direct deposited because it would go to the TT people instead. HOW FRUSTRATING. I hope it comes soon.
