We made it.... ITS HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to Friday, well Thursday night John's dad was able to fly in around 7:30 pm. That gave us just enough time to run to our Stake President. John got released and much appraise for the job he has done in our Ward and Stake.

Now to Friday. John and his dad were able to pick up our Uhaul truck Friday morning. After they got the truck we went over to ABF to find what we would be loading up later that night. After we got back from ABF John and his dad went to empty out our storage unit. While they did that I had some errands to run. They were running about on time and were ready to leave the storage unit until...... The truck wont start. It was sitting at our storage place for over 3 hours until someone finally came to jump the truck. We had tried with 2 other cars that were all supposed to be able to jump a uhaul but no luck. I'm starting to freak out because we had friends coming to the house at 6pm to start packing the truck. Thankfully they got the truck back to our house about 6:20ish and got it loaded. About 1/2 of the men went out with us to the ABF truck which was a great help. SHOUT OUT TO ALL THAT HELPED OUT THAT NIGHT. THANKS KEVIN AND JOSH FOR GETTING THE TRUCK WELL PACKED FOR US. We ended up with about 10 guys there to transfer everything from the uhaul to the abf truck. We were done there about midnight and another BIG SHOUT FOR DALENE WHO HELPED WATCH THE KIDS OVERNIGHT FRIDAY AND MOST OF SATURDAY.

We dropped off the uhaul that night/morning and went home to a pretty empty home with no bed to sleep in. That floor is not really comfortable but we made it work. I had left out some blankets and we used towels for pillows. We were up Saturday about 7 to finish packing what was left and take another load out to ABF. While John and his dad did that I finished cleaning the place. Because of the day before and the whole thing with the uhaul truck we were way behind where we wanted to be on Saturday.

We finally got on the road by 6PM on Saturday night and drove through a nasty storm near the CO-NM border. I was really glad we were ahead of it after we were in New Mexico. Well to make a long story a little bit shorter we drove all night through. John, his dad and me for 2 cars and made it Johns parents house by 1 pm Sunday (today) and went to sacrament to find all the other family here. They were excited to see us. Especially JA who thought we were coming on a boat because it was taking so long for us to get here. Well the boat has landed and hopefully will be barking soon.

We did go by the house quickly tonight and it looks great. Cant wait to get in it. Already heard from my new bishop and he sounds really great. He has a girl AN's age so she is excited to meet her and go to a Stake Activity Day Girls time on Saturday. She will get to meet people before we do if we don't move in this weekend.

I'm really REALLY tired now and think i will go to bed. I hope you all had a great weekend. Talk to you soon. Will have pictures up later.

Oh yeah. I knew it was going to be HOT but forgot how muggy it feels with all the humidity. It was really HOT today.

Well, We will be packing up a truck and running last minute errands tomorrow and I have to take back our internet router so I wont be able to get back on at some point tomorrow until we make it to SA on Sunday. I hope you all have a GREAT weekend.

Roadtrip Read

So I have seen a lot of buzz about this book from my other blogger friends and thought maybe I should read it. I will have something to read while Im in the car not driving on our road trip in a couple days. I hope its as good as my friends say. I'll let you know when we make it to texas what I thought.

Remember Im not one that really likes to read so lets hope it grabs me right away.

He's WALKING.... sort of

Last night John & I were sitting on our couches talking about our upcoming move and what we still needed to do. John was holding JR and he was getting a little fussy and wanted down. John put him down and holding his hands I reached out my hands and he took 3 steps ALL BY HIMSELF. He's been standing by his self for a little bit until he notices he's not holding onto anything then he falls.

I knew it would be any day now as he just cruises along the side of the couch so fast. I wont be encouraging much more of his walking until AFTER the move on saturday. Our new home would be so much safer and softer place to land.

I will try to get him on tape so you can check him out. He is my first to walk before 1 year old. He will only be 11 months on Saturday.

WE ARE TRULY BLESSED

DID YOU NOTICE THE TICKER ON THE RIGHT???? YES we are going a week from tomorrow. Thanks to some SMART thinking from my sister and my mom we have a house. We are still in limbo with renting out our house and we were getting worried we wouldnt have a contract by next friday th 20th. We we have a cosigner now that enabled us to move.

All this wouldnt have been possible last year when we first tried to move. I think everything just kinda fell in place this year. We have money coming in from places we never would have thought i.e. stimulus, refunds, We truly have been blessed.

This also wouldnt have been possible either if we werent getting another FHA Loan. I guess with a FHA loan you CAN have a Non-occupant Cosigner were with the conventional loan you couldnt. Man. I just dont know what else to say. We are finally going to our perfect house for us. Im so excited.

I just want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers and help. We will be packing up next friday and saturday leaving on saturday if not too late.

Tam we want to see you again before leaving. Its been fun having a friend from home living close. Joyce -- Can you make it up here anytime next week? I would love to see you when your so close to me.

A little late

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DM. HE TURNED 7 ON SATURDAY. HIS PARTY WAS LAST WEEKEND SO IT SEEMED LIKE IT ALREADY HAPPENED. I WAS SO BUSY SATURDAY I DIDNT HAVE A CHANCE TO PUT THIS ON SO I WILL NOW. HERE ARE PICTURES OF DM ON HIS BIRTHDAY EVERY YEAR.

BIG SCARE Today. DHI (sales office for new home) called me today to see what our closing date would be. I told him I wasnt sure but we have until the 30th of june per our contract. He told me that if I didnt have anyone to rent the house by the middle of next week they would have to start "showing" my home to other people. WHAT??????? I was freaking out. I called my realtor down in TX and asked him if he knew what was going on. I told him what happened and he got really mad. He said "let me call you back".... Well he calls the sales office and basically lets them have it. They shouldnt be threatening my client. They have until the 30th of june. He was very upset.

Well we then get a email from sales office stating we have 2 dates to choose for first walk through and final walk through, then closing on the 27th a FRIDAY.. This got Brent REALLY REALLY (insert different words here) UPSET. He emailed them back and wanted to say BULL XXXX (crap) He didnt put THAT in the email,just told me that when he responded to me, but did say how our contract had to close on the 30th and thats what we will do. Thats a Monday that way we could travel over the weekend if we needed too. He said he never closes on a friday as we could have the last meeting then there would be no way we would have the funding through. We would have to wait all weekend for the keys. We will have a meeting first thing Monday and then hopefully be able to move in later that day. We would let them know if we get there earlier we can move up the date.

I will be so happy when we are FINALLY in our new home. On the other side... after I put our house up on Craigs List we got 4 emails/calls to our manager. We have appts set this weekend. I really hope someone would be able to get it so we can leave next weekend for TX. I hope to get back on Saturday and tell you we are on our way. Wish us LUCK.

woo hoooo.. we have appointment set

OK. So I was getting frustrated that we STILL haven't heard anything for anyone coming to look at our house. Its been up over a week. I posted the add on CRAIG'S LIST and lo and behold... I got a email back from someone wanting to see the house that can move in ASAP. I forwarded it my prop. manager and called her to let her know the email was coming and give her a call. Well... She said she was glad I called b/cause she had an appt. set up for Friday. Coincidence with timing?? I don't know. I'm feeling much better now that I know at least 2 showings this week if not more. I hope to have good news by the end of this week. Wish us luck and thanks for all the family fasting last week. I think it worked.
